Our Four Unforgettable Days at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa
After spending eight days exploring Mauritius and staying at two different hotels, we ended our trip with something a bit special – five days at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa. This was our final stop before flying on to Dubai, and honestly… it turned out to be the most magical part of the whole holiday.
From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly warm and professional. We’d booked a villa with a private pool because we wanted to finish our trip with something truly memorable. And wow – it was even better than we had imagined.
First Impressions: The Villa
We were driven down to our villa, and the second the door opened, we just looked at each other like, is this real? Everything was spotless, beautifully kept and unbelievably spacious. Two large bedrooms, a generous living room with kitchen and dining area, and en suite bathrooms for both bedrooms. The master bathroom was huge – and even had a private outdoor bathtub you could step straight out to.
Outside, we had sun loungers, a sofa area, and an outdoor dining table – everything you want when you know you’re going to spend a lot of time just relaxing.

A Butler We Didn’t Know We Had
Just as we were settling in, the hotel manager came by to welcome us personally – and then introduced us to our butler. We honestly had no idea this was included, and the moment the door closed behind them, we just couldn’t stop smiling.
There was a bottle of champagne waiting on ice, so of course we opened it and sat by our little pool while the kids jumped straight in. Pure holiday happiness.
The villa also came with daily refills of the fridge: eggs, jam, soft drinks and water – and our butler prepared breakfast for us each morning in the villa. We filled in a little checklist of what we wanted, and anything unused stayed in the fridge, which meant we basically had lunch sorted too. It felt so effortless and completely stress-free.
The Food Scene: Fine Dining Meets Street Food
The resort has several great restaurants, but we love trying local food wherever we can. Right next to the hotel at the public beach there’s a couple of food trucks that stay open until around 7 pm. We grabbed food there most evenings and brought it back to our terrace. Fresh, cheap and such a nice way to soak up the atmosphere.

We used them every day. It works really well for families — everything is straightforward and easy.
Most afternoons we moved down to the beach. When the sun disappeared behind the villa walls, we’d head down for the last warm rays of the day. There were always plenty of sun loungers – no towel wars, no stress.
The beach itself is beautiful and perfectly located on the west coast.

Final Thoughts
Our four days here were incredible – the kind of stay you talk about long after coming home. It felt relaxed, luxurious without being over the top, and just genuinely memorable. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
